Brain Longevity & Healthy Aging

Plan proactively for long-term brain health.

Cardiel Precision Brain Health offers neurologist-led preventive care for adults who want a clearer understanding of the factors that may influence cognitive function, neurological resilience, and healthy brain aging over time.

Care may consider cognitive performance alongside vascular and metabolic health, sleep, physical fitness, medications, hormonal transitions, nutrition, stress, and lifestyle—when these factors are clinically relevant.

Evaluation and follow-up are individualized. There is no predetermined battery of tests and no one-size-fits-all anti-aging protocol.

A Brain-First Approach

Longevity care grounded in neurology

Longevity is often marketed as a collection of laboratory tests, scans, supplements, or emerging treatments. At Cardiel Precision Brain Health, the starting point is different.

The objective is to understand your neurological and medical history, identify the issues most relevant to long-term cognitive and functional health, and develop a practical plan that reflects your risks, priorities, and life circumstances.

The focus is not simply on living longer. It is on supporting the cognitive function, physical capability, independence, and resilience that make those years meaningful.

This care may be appropriate for adults who:

  • Want a proactive baseline for cognitive and brain health
  • Have a family history of cognitive decline or dementia
  • Want to understand potentially modifiable vascular or metabolic risks
  • Are navigating menopause, changing sleep, or other midlife transitions
  • Want to protect strength, physical function, and metabolic health while using a GLP-1 medication
  • Have accumulated laboratory, imaging, wearable, or genetic information but lack an integrated clinical interpretation
  • Prefer a physician-led plan rather than a generic testing or supplement protocol

Choosing the Appropriate Starting Point

Proactive planning or diagnostic evaluation?

Proactive Care

Brain Longevity & Healthy Aging

This pathway is primarily designed for adults who are functioning independently and want a proactive assessment and long-term brain-health plan.

Diagnostic Care

Memory & Cognitive Evaluation

New or progressive memory loss, word-finding difficulty, confusion, personality change, loss of familiar abilities, or other concerning neurological symptoms should begin with a diagnostic cognitive or neurological evaluation.

Some patients may move from diagnostic clarification into longitudinal brain-health care once the important clinical questions have been addressed.

An Integrated Clinical View

The systems that support brain health

Cognitive & Neurological Health

Neurological history, cognitive concerns, daily function, family history, medications, and cognitive assessment when it can answer a meaningful clinical question.

Vascular & Metabolic Health

Blood pressure, glucose regulation, insulin resistance, lipid-related risk, weight trajectory, body composition, and other factors that may influence long-term neurological health.

Sleep & Recovery

Sleep quality, insomnia, circadian patterns, possible sleep apnea, recovery, fatigue, and wearable information when it contributes usefully to the clinical picture.

Strength, Fitness & Physical Function

Physical activity, aerobic fitness, resistance training, strength, balance, lean-tissue preservation, bone health, and practical measures of physical capability.

Menopause & Hormonal Context

Menopausal symptoms, changing migraine patterns, sleep, cognition, body composition, bone health, and neurological considerations surrounding hormone therapy.

Medications, Stress & Lifestyle

Medication effects, alcohol and other substances, nutrition, stress physiology, social and occupational demands, and habits that may affect cognition or neurological resilience.

How Care Works

From information to an actionable plan

  1. Comprehensive Consultation

Begin with an extended medical evaluation focused on your history, current health, family history, medications, priorities, previous testing, and concerns about cognitive and functional aging.

Existing records are reviewed whenever possible so that useful information is not needlessly repeated.

  2. A Purposeful Baseline

Dr. Cardiel identifies which findings are already known, which questions remain unresolved, and whether selected cognitive, metabolic, imaging, sleep, body-composition, genetic, or wearable assessments would meaningfully influence the plan.

Testing is selected to answer a question—not simply because it is available.

  3. Your Brain Health Roadmap

You receive a prioritized plan explaining:

    • The most meaningful findings
    • Which findings are reassuring
    • Which risks or symptoms deserve attention
    • The first priorities to address
    • What should be monitored
    • Which issues should be coordinated with primary care or another specialist
  4. Implementation & Reassessment

Some patients need only a focused consultation and plan. Others benefit from scheduled follow-up to implement recommendations, monitor meaningful outcomes, adjust treatment, and reassess progress over time.

Personalized by Design

Begin with the level of care that fits the question

Option 1

Comprehensive Brain Longevity Consultation

A focused starting point for patients seeking:

  • A proactive brain-health baseline
  • Review of family and personal risk factors
  • Interpretation of previous results
  • Guidance about appropriate testing
  • A prioritized plan to implement independently or with existing physicians

A patient does not have to enroll in a program to receive a consultation.

Option 2

Six-Month Brain Health & Healthy Aging Plan

For patients seeking more structured implementation and reassessment, longitudinal care may include:

  • Initial comprehensive evaluation
  • Dedicated results and planning visit
  • Written Brain Health & Healthy Aging Roadmap
  • Scheduled interim follow-up
  • Six-month reassessment
  • Treatment adjustment when clinically appropriate
  • Defined, nonurgent between-visit communication
  • Coordination with primary care and selected specialists, with authorization

Care may remain focused, expand when useful, or become less intensive once the principal goals have been addressed.

Selective Assessment

Use the tool only when it can change the plan

Depending on the clinical question, evaluation may incorporate selected assessments such as the following.

Cognitive Assessment

Validated cognitive testing, functional review, and longitudinal cognitive measurement when clinically useful.

Laboratory & Risk-Factor Review

Selected metabolic, cardiovascular, nutritional, endocrine, safety, or other laboratory assessment based on medical history and goals.

Advanced Neuroimaging

Brain MRI, volumetric analysis, or other imaging when indicated by the clinical history or diagnostic question.

Body Composition & Bone Health

Selected assessment of lean tissue, adiposity, or bone health when these findings are relevant to treatment or monitoring.

Glucose, Sleep & Wearable Information

Short-term glucose, sleep, activity, recovery, heart-rate, or HRV information when it can answer a defined clinical or behavioral question.

Genetic or Alzheimer’s-Related Testing

Considered selectively after discussion of the clinical question, limitations, potential consequences, and whether the result is likely to influence care.

Not every patient needs additional testing. The purpose is not to generate the largest possible dataset. It is to obtain the information most likely to clarify risk, guide treatment, or monitor something that matters.

Evidence Before Enthusiasm

What this approach is—and is not

This approach is:

  • Neurologist-led medical care
  • Personalized to the patient’s history and goals
  • Grounded in established neurological and preventive care
  • Open to relevant emerging science without automatically turning every development into a test or treatment
  • Coordinated with primary care and other specialists when appropriate

It is not:

  • A promise to prevent dementia or extend lifespan
  • A mandatory collection of scans and laboratory panels
  • A predetermined supplement, hormone, GLP-1, peptide, or medication protocol
  • A substitute for primary care, age-appropriate cancer screening, emergency care, or specialty care outside Dr. Cardiel’s scope
  • An anti-aging treatment package

Frequently Asked Questions

What patients often want to know

Do I need to have memory problems to request this consultation?

No. Brain Longevity & Healthy Aging is designed in part for adults seeking a proactive plan before significant cognitive or functional decline. Patients with new or progressive cognitive symptoms may be directed to the Memory & Cognitive Evaluation pathway.

Will everyone receive cognitive testing, MRI, genetic testing, or Alzheimer’s biomarkers?

No. Testing is individualized and recommended only when it is likely to clarify a meaningful question or influence care.

Does this replace my primary-care physician?

No. This is specialist neurological and brain-health care. Routine primary care, immunizations, cancer screening, and management outside the practice’s scope remain with the appropriate clinicians.

Do I have to enter a six-month program?

No. Care may begin and remain as a focused consultation. Longitudinal support is available when it is clinically useful and desired.

Are menopause care or GLP-1 treatment automatically part of brain longevity care?

No. They may be considered when relevant. Hormone therapy, obesity medication, or other treatment is not automatically recommended or included. Each requires an appropriate individualized evaluation.

Are laboratory tests, imaging, medications, and devices included in the professional fee?

Unless specifically stated, outside laboratory, imaging, pharmacy, device, and other professional charges are separate.

Does the practice accept insurance?

Cardiel Precision Brain Health is a private, direct-pay, out-of-network practice. Detailed superbills may be provided for eligible services. Reimbursement depends on the patient’s individual plan.
