But the authorization is narrower than that headline suggests.On August 21, the FDA granted De Novo marketing authorization to Avulux, an over-the-counter precision-filter lens intended to decrease the impact of light sensitivity in patients age 12 and older with diagnosed episodic migraine. The lenses selectively attenuate portions of the blue and amber/red spectrum around 480 and 590 nm and can be made with or without a vision prescription. #migraine #neurology #headachemedicine
